I Received JESUS Today!

Saturday was a VERY BLESSED day! Andrew received his First Holy Communion! I have to say Andrew's two year preparation kept me questioning whether or not he was really ready, but after watching him yesterday I have to say he did an AWESOME job! I was a very proud mommy and of course I cried! Tears of joy of course. It is just so beautiful to watch all the beautiful and handsome boys and girls, dressed in their Sunday best, ready to receive Jesus. What an awesome experience. But of course with every awesome experience comes some humor :) So as a nervous mommy, I of course had been prepping Andrew about the do's and don'ts. "Bow right before you get up to the altar Andrew. Prayer hands all the way up their Andrew. Say Amen after you receive the Body and the Blood Andrew. Don't grab the chalice from the priest Andrew. And DON'T make a face after your receive the blood of Christ Andrew." Well most of my Do's and Don't Andrew followed, EXCEPT for the making a face after receiving the Blood of Jesus. Instead of an "Amen" and respectfully walk away, I got an "Amen" and a tongue sticking out with a grimace face. OOOOOHHHHHH as soon as he looked at me I gave him the "Mommy Stare" and "Don't Do That" look! But for the most part it was an INCREDIBLE evening and we are so thankful for our Gracious Lord and Savior and his many blessings! God Bless Everyone!
