For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord....

....plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

This is my favorite scripture. It sums it all up! But tonight, it has more meaning to me than it ever has. Ok before I go on, I advise you to get a tissue. Don't worry I am good, Dave's good and the boys are good...just get a tissue :)
So its been a while now since I was introduced to the blog world. Its a place where I can brag about my family, where I can keep up with my friends and family, listen to great music, look at great pictures...but I was never prepared for what I experienced these last couple of weeks. About a month ago, I went "Blog Hopping." Just checking out the blogs of friends, their friends, and their friends friends. And I came across this blog-(http://kayleighannefreeman.blogspot.com/) It's the story of a "one pound, one ounce miracle." Kayleigh was born weighing one pound and one ounce and she wasn't suppose to survive, she wasn't even suppose to be born alive. She was a "miracle from God." Her parents started a blog, journaling the journey Kayleigh has gone through and it is absolutely beautiful and heart felt. Sadly, Kayleigh lost her fight on May 11th. Your probably thinking "What's beautiful about this? How sad!" And yes sad it is, but these amazing parents haven given total and complete strangers like me a gift. The gift of "faith!" Yes I have faith, but they have built my faith up to another level. Their story is inspirational, its moving, its "absolutely beautiful!" I hope that if you have the "mental" strength, that you read her story. Let her story be a testimonial that our God will never give us more than we can handle. That we must trust in him and let him lead us. Let it remind us not to take for granted the many blessings he has blessed us with.
And if you think you can't emotionally do it, then I just ask you as her dad asked, Adam Freeman, when you kiss your loved ones tonight, your babies, lift them up in your prayers and pray for sweet Kayleigh.
I love you all and I am thankful for each and every one of you! God Bless you! :)

God is Good!

Happy Mother's Day! "Thank you Lord for my 3 beautiful, healthy blessings!"

Happy Sunday everyone!(well technically it is now Monday) I decided to do a little update on the fam as I sit here and read everyone elses. And this is the perfect time to do it...being Mother's Day and I love to brag about my boys!
As I always say they are growing like weeds. David Rey is turning 13 this Thursday. OMG I am going to be a mother of a "TEENAGER!" My baby is growing so fast. I can still vividly picture him and his two cousins running in their underwear to get into their Popo's swimming pool. I can still picture him "shaking his bom bom" to Ricky Martin. I can still picture him all dressed up in his cowboy boots and hat. I can still picture him crying on his first day of kindergarten when my class was LITERALLY two feet away from him. My calm, shy, and passive boy is ALL GROWN UP! He has caught up to me in height, his arms are toned and muscular, he goes to school dances and he no longer cries for me :( But God is Good and David Rey has been such a blessing from the moment he entered this world. He has grown into a respectable young man who loves sports and makes good grades. What more could a mother ask for?
Andrew is still my sweet mama's boy. He is a good big brother and loves to hug and kiss on Christopher.Unfortunately Christopher does not always feel the same. :( Andrew is finally losing those teeth and the tooth fairy just can't seem to keep up! :) He's getting ready to enter third grade and I just remember last year at this time saying, "This time next year Andrew will be one of my second graders getting ready for third grade. Their so big!" :( Why do they keep growing????
Christopher just keeps on adding new words to his vocabulary. His favorite phrases these days are "Don't say dat." (even though he has no idea what you are saying) And "You mean." (I believe we can thank daddy for this one) And my all time favorite was when he finally learned to say his babysitter's name, Carrie. But first sounded like "Harry." Oh I giggled about this one. They are all so sweet and I have been so blessed with all three of them. "Thank you Lord!"
David and I are doing great. He was busy with another grand opening of Chick-fil-A the last couple of weeks and now I'm busy with end of the year conferences, Spring Fling carnival and talent show :0 Oh I will be glad when this week is over. As for our weight loss....well it ended with a tie. I got a little scared and talked him into splitting the money. :) But I've kept going and I am now down 20 pounds. I was trying to find a good before picture and I think I did. I warn you its CRAZY and I hope to never ever see this person again. Are you ready........................... Terrible I know. I think this girl ate the old me! LOL! But luckily she spit her back out. I am still working on this weight loss journey. I've made it about half way, but know the next half will be the hardest. But my mind is set and all I know is that I never want to go back to where I was. I have so much more energy now and feel so much better. Not to say the compliments from my hubby and everyone else always make me feel good. And this weekend's shopping trip was actually fun!!! And so here I am now. Not the best picture, but hopefully you can tell a difference! Have a great week everyone. Love ya!
