Basketball Overdose!!!

We had a fun filled weekend of BASKETBALL. I don't think I've ever watched so much basketball. Can I just say basketball, basketball, basketball! First off David Rey had a tournament this weekend. His first game was Friday night.

He then had one at 8am on Saturday and at 1. We didn't make the 8:00 one because Andrew had a 9:00 game on Saturday also. So off we went Game #2.

Depending on if Dave's team won or lost would determine if we had another game and so then I got the call...they won! Woo Hoo (I say with some sarcasm) The game was at 1:00 and they WON! WooHoo (no sarcasm) This was the end for them. They got the "consolation" trophy. Not sure what that is, but hey its a trophy.

So I know you're thinking well that's only 3 games Sandra, that's not alot. Well my sister got us tickets to the UT basketball game and so there we went after the game and headed to the Erwin Center. The boys were really excited about this and well I have to admit it was pretty cool, once the nausea settled from the high seats. Why must they make stadiums so high and so steep? I wish I had taken my camera in to get pictures of Andrew. I have never seen Andrew so involved in one game. He sang, chanted, danced, and yelled. You name it he did it. He was TRULY UT's #1 fan yesterday. After the game, he said he wanted a jersey. It was a really good game down to the last second of overtime. Unfortunately they lost, but it was a fun experience. So there you have it basketball, basketball, basketball. I guess I must get used to it since all I have is boys and all they play is SPORTS! :0 Can someone please invite me to a ballet recital or something, please????? :)

"Pee Pee in the Potty, Pee Pee in the Potty!"

"Good job Christopher! You went pee pee in the potty, pee pee in the potty!"
Yeah Christopher is FINALLY potty trained! This weekend I was DETERMINED to potty train Christopher. This has been a work in progress for a few weeks. We had been trying to get him ready, talking about going potty, trying to practice going potty, BUT Christopher was determined to do everything BUT go potty! Even though I have done this two times before, I felt like it was my first time again. So I took everyone's advice and waited till he turned 3. This seem to be the magic number. So here we are 3 years old BUT still "no potty!" I was beginning to think I would have a 4 year old who WAS NOT potty trained! WHAT???? Oh no, I had to do this. Last Sunday, we began with the pull up. Every 30 minutes, "Christopher let's go potty." Few times we went without a fight, but more times it was a fight! BUT all my mommy friends said, "Don't give up!" So we kept on. There were tears, both Chris AND ME! LOL There were struggles and OH THERE WAS STUBBORNNESS. I'll tell you a little secret, but don't tell David. I think Christopher gets his stubbornness a little bit more from me then daddy! :0 Shhhhhh don't tell. Well about mid-week, we were doing a little better. On Saturday Andrew had an 8 o'clock game. I put a pull up on him and we tried to go a few times at the game, but no luck. By the time we got home and he had pooped and peed. :( Still determined, I put underwear on him and we went every 30 minutes. By mid-day Christopher was telling me when he had to go. We had NO ACCIDENTS and well he just ROCKED! I was so excited. I did my famous "pee pee in the potty dance and song" everytime AND he got M&M's. Sunday came and he ROCKED IT OUT just like Saturday. So yes we now FINALLY have a potty trained 3 year old! Check him out!

Happy New Year! I can't believe its already 2010. Have you made your New Year's Resolutions? Guess what mine is? Did you guess? Yup try to keep up with my blog :) I do love blogging. I do love bragging on my family. Its just so darn hard to find the time. So there's resolution #2:Manage Time.
Well 2009 was good to us and just as fast it flew by is just as fast as my boys keep growing! David Rey will turn 14 this year and this year he will begin high school :0 He has reached and surpassed me in height and has the "I'm a cool guy" attitude. Ocassionally I want to slap him around! LOL And well just when I thought I knew everything about him, he tells us he has a girlfriend. YIKES. I say this easily now, but believe me this did not come easy. I actually think I was in denial a little. Not my baby! She's a cheerleader. Her name is Ashley, short and cute and well I guess I have to admit he did pretty good.

Andrew turned 9. He is still my emotional one. He gets his feelings hurt so easily, but he still loves to hug on me and gives me kisses. Even when I scream and yell at him! HA! He just started his second season of basketball and is working his way through cub scouts. This is the first year he has received grades and so far so good. He is an AB honor roll student. YEAH!

Christopher had his 3rd birthday this month. I am hoping this means the terrible two stage is over! LOL He is most definately our most stubborn and daring child. He loves to test us and so sad to say....has learned to work us :0 And as I've said before he is so darn lucky he is so darn cute! He is speaking in full sentences and my favorite had to be when he was sitting in the bathtub watching me get dressed and said, "Mommy your so pretty!" Gotta love him. As I said he is our little dare devil. Right now he attempts....well actually can get on the top bunk ALL BY HIMSELF!

And well for David and myself, we are back on track with our weight loss journey. Last year I was so proud of myself. I lost 20 pounds! But with summer and the stress of back to school I put back on a whopping 10 pounds :0 So here I go again. My goal this year including the 10 I put back on :0 is to lose 30 pounds. Can I do it? Yes I can! And my hubby will too. So there is resolution #3! :)
